Krissi Danielsson
-
Krissi Danielsson is a freelance writer and editor with an interest in parenting. Danielsson was born and raised in California, and earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Excelsior College in 2006. She also holds an associate degree in social sciences, as well as certificates in technical writing and copyediting. Before becoming a freelancer, Danielsson worked as an editor in the information technology field.
Before the birth of their daughter, Danielsson and her husband experienced three consecutive miscarriages. During this difficult time, they discovered that the resources available on this subject were few and inadequate. Not satisfied, either, with the explanation provided by her doctors, Danielsson decided to take the initiative to educate herself. She researched the subject exhaustively, and wrote After Miscarriage with the hope of providing other women with the resource she wishes had been available during her own ordeal.
Danielsson is also very active in online communities for couples who have experienced pregnancy loss. She was the moderator of a support group for women who had, like herself, endured multiple miscarriages, and later created the miscarriage page at Bellaonline.com. She is currently About.com’s guide to Miscarriage and Pregnancy Loss.
She lives outside of Seattle, Washington, with her husband and two children. Visit Krissi’s blog and website at AfterMiscarriage.com.
