Dr. James Sears

Dr. James Sears is the oldest son of Martha Sears, R.N., and William Sears, M.D., and the father of two creative and lively children. He earned his medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine and served his residency as a pediatrician at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, Tod Children’s Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio in 1999. Dr. Jim is a member of the teaching faculty at the University of California at Davis School of Medicine. He has written for Parenting magazine and his medical advice has been featured in People magazine and on the PBS parenting series Help Me Grow. He is also a contributor to “Ask the Experts” on Parenting.com and frequently travels the country giving lectures about family nutrition and sleep.
