Martha Sears, a “professional mother” of eight, is a registered nurse and childbirth educator trained at the International Childbirth Education Association. She serves as a La Leche League leader and a board-certified breastfeeding consultant, relying on training from The Lactation Institute of Los Angeles and many years experience with her eight children. She is the co-author of more than ten parenting titles and she lectures at parenting conferences nationwide.
