Jennifer Felicia Abadi

Jennifer Felicia Abadi travels whenever possible, especially to Israel and its surrounding countries, studying foods, languages, and cultures. Her recipes have appeared in the Daily News and The New York Times Sunday Magazine, and her illustrations in the Passover cookbook Let My People Eat! and Italian Food and Wine Magazine. Abadi hosts monthly food tastings and teaches cooking courses centered around Jewish and other Middle Eastern cuisines. She also assists others in writing and preserving their own family recipes. Patty Cogen, M.A., ED.D., is a child and family therapist and child development specialist, as well as the mother of an adopted daughter from China. She has a master’s degree in clinical psychology and a doctorate in education. Cogen is a member of the Child Therapy Association of Seattle and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, a contributor to Adoptive Families magazine, and the founder or cofounder of several educational organizations and support groups for internationally adopted children and their families in the Seattle area, where she lives.
