She is the best-selling author of numerous cookbooks, including the James Beard Book Award winner The Bread Bible and has twice been nominated for the IACP Cookbook Award. Hensperger lives in the San Francisco Bay area of California.

Linda Hughey Holt, M.D. is an obstetrician and the Medical Director of the Institute for Women’s Health at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare. She lives in Wilmette, Illinois.

Bill Hufnagle, aka Biker Billy, is a columnist and gastronomic editor of Cruising Rider magazine. The former host of the syndicated show Biker Billy Cooks with Fire is a frequent guest on national television, including Live with Regis and Kelly, Good Morning America, and CNN.  When he’s not riding his 1996 fuel-injected Harley-Davidson Road King Police Bike (FLHP-I) or his 2000 Buell S3T, Billy’s at home in Asheville, North Carolina.

Kathleen Huggins, R.N., M.S., is the author of several books including the million-plus-copy-selling The Nursing Mother’s Companion. She is a registered nurse, a board-certified lactation consultant, and owner of the maternity shop Simply Mama in San Luis Obispo, California, where she lives.

Claudia Jewett Jarratt, a nationally known family therapist, has raised ten children, seven of them adopted. She lives in Harvard, Massachusetts.

Sandy Jones has written six books for parents, including Consumer Reports Guide to Baby Products and To Love a Baby. She lives in Asheville, North Carolina.

Michele Anna Jordan is an IACP Cookbook Award-nominated author, chef, and host of the radio show “Mouthful,” which has been nominated three times for the James Beard Award for Electronic Journalism. Her writing has appeared in numerous publications including: Food & Wine, Wine & Spirits, Kitchen Garden, Appellation, Sky, Electronic Gourmet Guide, and Savor magazine. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.

Julie Kaufmann is the food editor of the San Jose Mercury News and lives in the San Francisco Bay area.

Barbara Keating, R.N., has counseled thousands of parents of bedwetters.

Maria Baez Kijac was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. She studied cooking in Spain, Latin America, and Chicago. She was a food consultant and kitchen director for the PBS series American Family Kitchen and currently serves as a judge for the Slow Food Awards. She lives in Lincolnshire, Illinois.

Paul Kirk has won more than 400 barbecue awards, including seven world championships and the championship of the American Royal Open (the world’s largest barbecue contest). Kirk was dubbed “The Baron of Barbecue” in 1981 by Dick Mais, the “King of Barbecue” and has held the title ever since. He teaches barbecue classes around the country and internationally. His restaurant, R.U.B. (Righteous Urban Barbecue), opened in New York City in 2005 to immediate acclaim. A second R.U.B. location opened in Las Vegas in 2008. Kirk is the author of three barbecue cookbooks and lives in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.

Diana Korte is the author of several books and the winner of more than forty journalism awards, including the American Academy of Pediatrics Award. She writes on parenting for the Los Angeles Times Syndicate and Mothering magazine. A mother of four, she lives in Boulder, Colorado.

Tori Kropp, R.N. is a perinatal nurse who has delivered thousands of babies at the prestigious California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Known as “the Dear Abby of pregnancy,” Tori has been interviewed on national television and radio and in national print publications, including CNN, The Wall Street Journal, New York Post, Washington Times, Atlanta Journal Constitution and Chicago Sun-Times.  Tori is the founder of Stork Site®, a community website for expectant and new parents.
