Theresa Volpe Laursen is a food writer and cooking teacher. Byron Laursen has written for numerous publications, including the Los Angeles Times and Rolling Stone. The Laursens co-wrote True Thai, which was nominated for a James Beard Award. They live in Ocean City, New Jersey.

Andrea Leonard, who operates Leading Edge Fitness Consultants, in Washington, D.C., also founded the Breast Cancer Survivors Foundation, which provides grants and outreach programs for those affected by breast cancer.

Adrienne B. Lieberman has been educating about childbirth since 1976. She has authored or co-authored several books on birth and has written dozens of articles on pregnancy and birth for parenting magazines. Lieberman has two children and lives in Evanston, Illinois.

Dave Lowry is the restaurant critic for St. Louis magazine and the author of several books on the traditional martial arts of Japan. He has also contributed articles to Winds, the in-flight magazine of Japan Airlines. He lives outside of St. Louis.

Susan L. Madden holds a master’s degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. The mother of three, including a son born prematurely, she lives with her husband and children in Newton, Massachusetts.

Dr. Max Maizels, M.D., is Professor of Pediatric Urology at Northwestern University Medical School.

Waldy Malouf is the esteemed chef/owner of Beacon restaurant in New York City. He has been nominated for an IACP Cookbook Award and was named a “Great Chef of New York” by the James Beard Foundation.

Galina Mariani is food columnist for Millionaire magazine and formerly was the television spokeswoman for Cooking Light magazine.  She and husband John Mariani live outside of New York City in Westchester County.

John Mariani, who has written the authoritative Dictionary of Italian Food and Drink as well as The Encyclopedia of American Food and Drink, is food and travel columnist for Esquire, restaurant columnist for Wine Spectator, and food columnist for Diversion.

Max Maizels, M.D., is Professor of Pediatric Urology at Northwestern University Medical School. Diane Rosenbaum, Ph.D., is a clinical child psychologist. Barbara Keating, R.N., has counseled thousands of parents of bedwetters. The three are internationally-recognized authorities who have teamed together since 1983 at the Try for Dry Program at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Michael McLaughlin was an award-winning author of over twenty cookbooks and a preeminent authority on American food and Southwestern cuisine. McLaughlin contributed to numerous publications including Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, and Family Circle. He was the co-author of the best-selling The Silver Palate Cookbook and lived for many years in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Daniel Miller co-founded the Grey Fox Inn, a successful small restaurant in Cambria, California. After a varied career spanning such industries as cutlery sales, beer brewing, newspaper advertising, and computer systems analysis and procurement, he is now semi-retired and lives in Reston, Virginia.

Debbie Moose is an award-winning freelance writer, cooking and writing teacher, and a cookbook author. She was the food editor and columnist for the Raleigh News & Observer for many years.
